Elders are cherished members of Acho Dene Koe First Nation.
Once a Band member reaches age 60, he or she is considered an elder. This individual is the keeper of many stories and memories of our community, our traditions, and our culture. Elders of our community are highly respected, and the traditions practiced to this day reflect that. At feasts, elders are asked to share a prayer before the meal is shared. Also, elders are served first by younger community members.
